Heather Locklear Has a Meltdown
Yet another celebrity meltdown occurred this weekend. This time, it’s Heather Locklear who’s under the critical eye of the masses as she was arrested last Saturday at around 5 PM after California Highway Patrol officers found her parked car blocking traffic in Montecito, California, near Santa Barbara.
An unidentified “Good Samaritan” was the one who called 911, reporting Locklear’s disturbing behavior while at the wheel. The actress was seen in a parking lot “driving forwards and backwards over a pair of sunglasses and revving her engine.” Then she was later seen, by the same woman, making a ruckus in the middle of the highway. It was then that the freaked out citizen decided to call 911.
“The citizen became concerned when Ms. Locklear exited her vehicle and stumbled into the traffic lane,” said one California Highway Patrol officer.
Locklear appeared rather out of it when the authorities arrived at the scene. Their initial guess was that the former sex-icon who Wayne and Garth “schwinged” to was chugging the barrel, but after a sobriety test, it was confirmed that she was just hung-over. ”Although obvious impairment was exhibited during the tests, alcohol was ruled out as a factor,” stated another officer. Though, this didn’t stop them from arresting Locklear with suspicion of driving under the influence.
“She was evaluated by a drug recognition expert, who concluded Ms. Locklear was under the influence of a controlled substance, and could not safely operate a motor vehicle,” added an officer. They chose not to reveal exactly what kind of “controlled substances” she was under, and her publicist refused to comment on the situation, which leaves our curiosity dangling on a cliff.
Eventually, the actress was released with a $5,000 bail after spending the night in the Santa Barbara county jail.
The cause for all this mishap, no one knows. Maybe it had something to do with her checking in a rehabilitation center last June, or it may have been the long-term effects of her falling out with her ex-husband Charlie Sheen. Regardless, we’re just going to have to sit tight and wait for revelations.
